Collecting vintage with confidence
Vintage Pokémon is where authentication matters most. Our team checks every WOTC-era card against known counterfeit tells — rosette print pattern, font weight, holo layer behaviour under light, card stock thickness and the famous light test — before assigning a condition grade. Every vintage listing includes high-resolution front-and-back photos.
1st Edition, Shadowless and Unlimited
The Base Set exists in three distinct prints. 1st Edition carries the stamp, Shadowless lacks the drop shadow on the art frame, and Unlimited is the common print. Price differences are enormous, so we label print runs explicitly on every listing. Read our Titan Journal article on identifying each print.
Sealed vintage
Sealed Base Set, Jungle and Fossil packs are sold heavy-or-light-unknown and never weighed. Vintage boxes and packs are photographed with seals visible and ship in rigid cases.

How do you authenticate vintage cards?
Rosette print pattern under magnification, font and border checks, light test, holo behaviour and card-stock comparison against reference copies.
Do you grade vintage condition the same as modern?
Yes, using NM/LP/MP/HP, but we are stricter on vintage — back-edge whitening and holo scratches are always disclosed.
Are your vintage packs weighed?
Never. Vintage packs are sold as-is from the source and weight is never checked.
Do you sell 1st Edition Base Set?
